It's Doing It Again.....

It's pretty, it's heavy, it's wet, it's hopefully not going to be around long...what am I???
Yes you guessed it snow.  Man oh man did it come down. 1" an hour. Last time I looked out it was still snowing. We are under a winter storm warning until 7am. At around 5:30 we had 4" so now who knows.  Now I ask you does this look like a trailer getting ready to leave in a few days.......

Look at the turkeys and geese.  I can just read their minds, "when is this going to end?"
You can see against the red of the barn how hard it is snowing.

A few weeks ago this bush was covered in ice and today it is snow. It sure is pretty. I told someone yesterday I think old man winter is giving us a good old fashion winter since we won't be here next year.

So what did we do all day inside while it snowed outside?  We worked in the garage cleaning it out. We just backed up the truck and started loading it up, ready for Good Will.  One of the things that was important for us to do before we left was to go through tubs of cards, and letters.  We just set up a card table in our back porch and started reading. 32 yrs worth! It was fun and sad all at the same time. Many animal's names that had been signed to cards are not with us any longer, and cards from my parents and Art's.  There were some hilarious ones, oh my gosh did we really write that stuff to each other? I guess you do when you are young and head over heels in love.  Hannah was really getting a kick out of some of them.  So we have it all condensed now into one plastic tub.  We still have a few items in the garage to get into the truck but we are almost done YA!!!!!  I really feel like we are going to make it now.  I went through drawers yesterday and the medicine cabinet. Why do we keep medicine that is out of date??  The trash man is going to have double trash come Thurs morning.

Can you guess these tracks??

Poor Jeb, all covered in snow. Look at the big snow flake that smudged my picture. I couldn't keep the lens clean and dry, as hard as it was snowing. He looks disgusted doesn't he?
And the geese they came out of the barn lot and they were, "that's it we are headed South." Which is funny because they were heading that way. They love the grass and there was
none to be found.

"Lead the way George, we're right behind you."

                                   This keeps up we might not be far behind them.

  1. Oh it looks soooo cold, I think I have to turn on my heater because you are making me cold! I'll never figure out how birds survive this stuff. There's nothing to them! Just skin, bones & feathers. Amazing. (oops, there's that word again)
    ::chuckle::
    Sounds like ya'll are making some headway there.

    1. Thanks Cj, the turkeys and geese are so tired of winter just like us. We got around 5"...again. I still have the kitchen to do, waiting on Hannah's shower this weekend and then next week will do that so she can put her stuff there.
