This is my 100th post I didn't realize it until I started to write but what a great subject to celebrate my 100th. We tried to sell more things to day, but not as much luck as yesterday. I know people don't like to stop in the cold and then it started to rain so we had to quit. More for Good Will and we put free on some of the furniture. I have been working in the Avalanche for awhile trying to get it ready. Some people are coming over to see it soon and we wanted it to be ready and look the way it will when we travel and live in it. So here it is....welcome to our new home!!!!
|
This is one of the new pillows that I made for our bed. I love pine trees so this fleece was perfect. |
|
So here is the bed with the new pillows. I love the bedspread, and it is so soft. |
|
This is a picture we bought on our honeymoon at the St Louis Zoo. We just had to bring it along, it will be 32 yrs old in August. |
|
Dresser and family pictures. Do you like my little plant, I found at a garage sale? I love green in a room. |
|
This is the bathroom. The little deer on the shelf we have had for as long as I can remember, I just couldn't bear to leave them behind. |
|
Sink and medicine cabinet. |
|
Of course our bigger, roomier shower. And this one has more shelves, and a sky light. |
|
This holds extra toilet paper, and our tissues. Notice pine trees and deer. |
|
I came out of the bathroom and here sat Cooper on the bed with a look that said, "take a picture of me Mom." His color is perfect for the bed spread. |
|
Effie found her spot on the back of Dad's chair. The sun is warm coming through the window. |
|
Cooper cannot stand his toys in the basket. I had JUST picked them up and he had to get one back out. |
|
I love the built in end tables. That was one thing I thought made it really look like a home, plus more storage under them. |
|
We love the fireplace, and it adds the needed warmth on chilly nights. The TV is behind the fireplace and comes up out of the cabinet. This allows the window to be open in the day time. |
|
Here is the table and chairs with my little pine tree as a center piece. |
|
One of my favorite parts of this fifth wheel is all the windows. These 2 little ones sure add a lot more light. |
|
This little iron skillet has hung above every stove I have ever cooked on. So this is stove number four. I repainted some of it as it was very faded. |
|
I finally have the decorations on the cabinets. On top too. Love the lighting that they installed below the top ones. It really adds alot to the cabinet below. |
|
Here is the whole coach. Looks big doesn't it. It is going to make us a wonderful home.
|
Well that is all of the RV. I hope you enjoyed touring it with me. One more photo I wanted to add to the post. For all of my fellow blogger friends, you have 2 'new' readers....
So we leave you all with best wishes from Indiana.
Tammy, what a gorgeous home this is going to be for you and hubby and the furry babies.
ReplyDeletethanks for the tour.
hugs,
JB
Thank you Julia, I appreciate that. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour, and the fur babies love it.
DeleteVery spiffy. You made it your own. So much love.
ReplyDeleteI'll tell our cats that two dogs are spying on them. LOL.
Congrats!
Susan
Hi Susan, that is so cute. They are always laying on my lap when I type and this morning they were laying on my husband's lap as he was ready, it was just too cute to pass up. Thank you, I think we did make it our own, I definitely have certain things I love.
DeleteReally wonderful. Will much of the thing on shelves have to be taken down and storered when you travel, or arethe anchored in some way?
ReplyDeleteSome of the items I have anchored down and some will have to be taken down and stored. We have a plastic tub I put it them in and then we store it on the floor in the bedroom. It really doesn't take that much time, when you get used to it. While camp hosting we won't be moving much so it makes putting up and taking down easier to deal with.
DeleteTammy, get some earthquake putty for some of those items and they will stay in place. All your photos are very nice but I think you will need some of that space for day to day living. Think about getting an electronic picture frame. You can put so many pictures on them. Your RV looks absolutely beautiful. Enjoy.
DeleteI have putty on some of the items, but I don't mind putting them up. When we lived in our other fifth wheel last summer I didn't have all the storage I have in this one, so I have things stored in drawers and cabinets. I have seen those electronic devices, maybe I will look into one. Thank you for the comment, we appreciate it.
DeleteThe iPad really messes up comments. It is so hard to go back and make corrections. If I would take my time, I would do better. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteOh that's ok, I make so many mistakes typing on the computer. I proof read this post and found like seven mistakes. I am like you I go too fast.
DeleteWoof, woof to the dogs!!! Your new home is absolutely beautiful. I'll bet you can't wait to get going!! If you ever find yourselves in northern Wisconsin, look us up!!
ReplyDeleteThey say Woof back. Thank you Muffy. No, we can't wait to get going. I can't wait to cook in that kitchen and sleep in that bed. Thank you we appreciate that. My husband lived in Madison Wisconsin for 7 yrs and has always wanted to go back. We probably will one day.
DeleteTammy your new home is so pretty and cozy! I like that you added your own things on the walls! Makes it so special. I also have a tub for knick knacks! Not a big deal to take down and put up....way worth the time and effort. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYes, the pup asleep in the chair is a doxie. We adopted him 2 years ago. He is for sure the life of the party around the Taylor household!
Thank you so much Gay. We think it is cozy too and we had to have that. I wanted it to look warm and inviting. I agree having the special decorations with us is worth the trouble of packing them. You are welcome. We had a male Doxie that looked just like your doggie. He was something else his name was Herbie.
DeleteFinally found your blog!! Love the pictures of the fiver - it's a beautiful home.
ReplyDeleteWell hi Donna and Welcome. I have really enjoyed your blog so happy to have you along on ours. Thank you, we really like it. I know it is going to make us a wonderful home. Take care.
DeleteNice digs. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Randy and Pam, and welcome to the blog. Hope you enjoy it.
DeleteVery Nice - You did a great job on decorating!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Kenny and Angela. I sure had fun doing it. And I really wanted it to be our own and not a factory decoration.
DeleteThanks for the tour of your new home, sure looks great. We will be looking forward to following along with your adventures. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThank you, and welcome to the blog. I really enjoyed putting it all together, now I can't wait to live in it.
DeleteWon't be long now, will be leaving the 30th, 31st or first of April depending on when the power is turned on in the park.
Thank you very much, I'm glad you like it. When we bought this property we planted a bunch of pine trees, so I needed to take something to remind me of them. Yes, there definitely is love in there, and the Doxies add a lot of it.
ReplyDeleteOh it all looks sooo cozy! I like the way the dogs color coordinate themselves too ;-) Get some handi tak, that will help hold some of your items down when traveling. But I'm not sure I'd trust it with the ones that mean the most to you. I love your nature theme!
ReplyDeleteHi Cyn, thank you so much. I think it is cozy, that is one of the reasons we feel in love with it. I have a bunch of that handi tak, and it is on some things but I will mostly put up stuff, because what I have taken is special to me and don't want to take the chance. Well I love nature and so it was just natural to do it in that.
DeleteThe dogs blend right in, that is for sure, oh if they were white what would we do?? ha ha
Congrats? We took the big leap and drove out of the driveway for the last time in Sept. not had a bad day yet.
ReplyDeleteYou will love it.
Thank you so much and welcome to the blog. Good to hear, we camp hosted for 3 1/2 months last summer and just loved it. So I anticipate we will love it too. Take care.
DeleteHi there! Finally found your blog again. Google did something goofy and I've lost many of the blogs that I follow. Didn't you have some kind of tragedy / mishap? Was it an accident? I think we were still in Greenwood waiting for John's doctors to release him when that happened. Sooo how did things turn out?
ReplyDeleteHi John and Nan, I'm glad you did. You were one of the first to join my blog if I remember correctly. Yes, we had just bought a new to us (used) truck to pull our new RV and our daughter and I were hit by a drunk driver and totaled our truck. :( But we were able to find another one so all is well, and no one was hurt. This truck turned out to be a better buy if we hadn't lost $3,000 on the accident it wouldn't have been so bad. I hope John is doing OK?
DeleteHi Tammy. Ellen and I spent a good amount of time looking over your new home, it's absolutely beautiful!

John and Ellen, thank you so much, we really appreciate the comment. I wished I had done a photo of some of the drawer and cabinets open so everyone could see the amt of room. Hmmm I may just do that. Welcome to the blog, hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteYour new home is beautifully decorated and so cozy. I'm sure you'll be very happy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen, Yes, I believe we will be very happy in it, if we ever get through the house LOL
