No beautiful pictures of the forest today. We came home to bring Hannah back and to go to the state fair today. Man it was hot!! But we had fun and Meredith was so cute as always. When we got home yesterday we had this in our front yard.
Art and I had just said, "mmmmm, wonder what we will do when we get home from Hardin Ridge in Oct?" Well now we know, cut up a tree and finally cut it down completely. It lost a big section in another storm so there is very little of the tree left.
Before I go any further I have to say a huge BIG thank you to Lindsay (our oldest daughter) for setting up and designing this blog for me. And thank you to Hannah (our youngest) for having so much patience in helping me to upload pictures and do my first entry and the 2nd, 3rd, 4th get the hint.? I am own my own now so good luck to me.
Now I couldn't do an entry today without including a photo of Meredith ok well several. She got to feed the goats, and pet a calf, and play in tree mulch. Just like Christmas....give me the box.
And then she pooped out. Look at those eyelashes! I and most girls would do anything for lashes that long...she got them from her Daddy. Like he needs them :)
I got my picture taken with Smokey the Bear today. We are having a birthday party for him next Sat. at Hardin Ridge. It's his birthday I believe he will be 68 yrs old.
on the 9th. Ya! He is older than me. So is Art he he!!
So for now so long from Thorntown and we'll be back tomorrow at HR (Hardin Ridge)
I just got caught up on your new blog and want to offer my congratulations! It sounds like you are enjoying the camp host life, and I agree, it's wonderful to be able to live in the woods.
ReplyDeleteMeredith is an absolute darling!
Thanks Gypsy! So glad to have you aboard. Yes, little Meredith is so cute, and getting to be a handful. I know you love the woods too.
DeleteDo I get anything for being the 100th customer to your blog? I feel like I should...
